Salivary gland X-ray (sialography) of a human head, showing the submandibular gland. This is a paired salivary gland found below the lower jaw bone (mandible). Here, a contrast medium has been injected to show the salivary ducts which secrete saliva. This can be done to diagnose certain disorders.
